Niterra to star at Automechanika UK

Niterra UK Ltd – owner of the renowned NGK and NTK vehicle electronic brands – will be starring at the forthcoming Automechanika UK Show.

It will have a host of attractions on stand E90 when it exhibits at the NEC Birmingham on June 6-8 when it will focus on its NGK Academy training initiative and its EGR valves range.

Garage visitors will also be able to test their skills on a race car simulator when the fastest competitor will win the Niterra Trophy, walk away with a BoxClever gift bag and also have the chance of meeting some of the company’s motorsport ambassadors.

British racing driver Nic Hamilton, who has confirmed he is to drive Team HARD. Racing’s Cupra Leon in the 2023 Kwik Fit British Touring Car Championship (BTCC) season, will be on the stand on Tuesday, June 6.

Hamilton, the brother of seven-time World Formula 1 champion Lewis Hamilton, has a long-standing relationship with the NGK brand and will be available to meet visitors as will North Yorkshire based racing car driver Max Coates who will be on the stand on Thursday, June 8.

Coates and Graves Motorsport are to embark on a debut season in the Porsche Visit Cayman Islands Sprint Challenge GB in 2023.

Mark Hallam, Marketing Manager, Niterra UK Ltd, said: “We are looking forward to once again exhibit at Automechanika UK. It is always a great show as it gives us the opportunity to engage with our garage customers.

“We have plenty of exciting things to speak to them about including our NGK Academy training initiative which has already proven to be popular with independent garages and also our EGR valves range which has recently been expanded. We are delighted that Nic and Max will be joining us and we expect some other of our motorsport ambassadors are also likely to be in attendance.”

NGK Academy, which was launched last November, has attracted scores of leading independent garages eager to improve their vehicle knowledge 24/7, 365 days of the year.

It is aimed at supplying essential training primarily to workshops, but with the content also of value to aftermarket distributors.

The portal includes 270+ technical training videos across a myriad of technical subjects/components by automotive training experts Our Virtual Academy (OVA) who have also created a suite of bespoke industry leading training videos on spark plugs with further NGK/NTK product focused training being developed in the future.

Spark plug training videos, three of OVA’s core training videos and other existing NGK/NTK training content, are free to access for all once they have enrolled on the portal, but there will be a charge for accessing the full suite of 270+ videos etc.

OVA training videos are on topics such as vehicle electrics, petrol and diesel engine management, chassis, hybrid and HVAC.

There are also comprehensive training videos on electric vehicles (EVs) and access to OVA’s dedicated content associated to the formally recognised qualification IMI Level 3 Award in Electric/Hybrid Vehicle System Repair and Replacement QFQUAL I.D 60314680.

The company recently added to its EGR valves range with the introduction of two new part numbers for a number of popular vehicle applications.

Forty-five references were introduced last March in phase one of the UK launch of a wide range of EGR valves, which are equivalent to their original equipment (OE) counterparts, and these have now been boosted by the addition of part number EGP0-N113 (stock number 93038) and part number EGP3-A111 (stock no. 97915).
