Using the theme ‘ignite’, replacement parts specialist Nissens Automotive (Nissens), recently welcomed visitors to Poland, to officially introduce its comprehensive range of Genuine Nissens Quality ignition coils, through a multi activity event that demonstrated its confidence in, and commitment to, these new additions to the company’s growing product range.
After welcoming the guests and making the necessary introductions, the event formally began with an informative and wide ranging presentation that validated the extensive research that the combined Nissens team has undertaken to fully understand the needs of the marketplace, assess the projections for current and future demand, and subsequently, the long term growth potential: it was obvious that its premium quality ignition coils provide a significant business opportunity for both distributors and workshops.
Next, to emphasise the lengths the aftermarket specialist has taken to ensure that ‘quality’ is the byword of the products that its parent company manufactures on its behalf, Nissens opened the doors of the Standard Motor Products ignition coil production facility in Bialystok, to allow the visitors to see for themselves how the range not only matches that of original equipment (OE) coils, but in many cases, surpasses them by incorporating design, material and production improvements.
Following these instructive elements, things took on a slightly different focus with a varied programme of other activities, which continued to ignite enthusiasm, while remaining relevant to the subject of ignition coils.
Among them were breathtaking passenger rides with a duo of professional drift car drivers and serious off road action across some really challenging terrain, as well as the chance to get behind the wheel themselves in a pro-kart – all vehicles that were equipped with Nissen’s ignition coils, that enabled them to deliver their adrenaline pumping performance.
It wasn’t all four wheel action however, as some of the other activities were more team building tasks that not only cemented relationships, but also gave exposure to the other products in the Nissens, AVA and Highway Automotive portfolios that the group collectively provide the market. Returning to ignition coils, alongside all of the technical and performance benefits of the Nissens range are other important considerations for the market and these include design type and coverage.
Addressing the first, the designs include standard, pencil, coil on plug (COP), rail and block coil types, which together cater for the needs of passenger cars and light commercial vehicles. With coverage in mind, the initial range of 230 ignition coils address more than 1,000 OE part numbers, which represents more than 65% of the European car parc and means that the Nissens ignition coil programme ticks all the boxes for professional workshops and the distributors that supply them.
After a full day of activities everyone regrouped for a gala dinner and prize giving, which was a fitting conclusion to an event that was extremely well received and clearly ignited interest in a product that is sure to be a successful addition to the Nissens aftermarket programme.
