BookMyGarage launches new AI service advisor for garages

The UK’s leading comparison site for MOTs, servicing and repairs, BookMyGarage, has launched its first AI service advisor for garages. Intelligent Website Assistant is a bookingfirst digital assistant that sits on a garage website.

Operating 24/7, the AI assistant reduces telephone call volumes while increasing confirmed bookings enabling garage staff to focus on the day’s workload, deal with complex issues and undertake highvalue conversations.

More than just a chatbot, it is a website booking assistant built specifically for garages that have their own website, powered by BookMyGarage, where it uses the garage’s live pricing, availability, lead times and bespoke FAQs to guide customers from first question to completed booking confirmation.

Customers interact with the assistant in the same way they would with a member of staff. They can ask service or repair questions, enter their vehicle registration to receive specific answers relating to their car type, view accurate prices and available dates, ask followup questions, complete an end to end booking, and receive an instant booking confirmation. Designed to hold human-style conversations rather than take part in a scripted Q&A, the AI assistant delivers a natural rather than robotic experience for the customer.

Garages can choose one of three products – Chat Bot (Text); Voice Bot; and Premium Video Avatar Bot. All variants share the same intelligence, booking logic and reference the garage’s realtime pricing and availability.

Chat Bot is a textbased Q&A functionality housed on a garage’s own website and is the ideal entry-level automation choice. Voice Bot holds conversations with consumers (without visuals), providing higher interaction capabilities than text at a lower cost than the video option. The Premium Video Avatar Bot is the flagship offering in the new AI product line-up. With the ability to speak naturally to customers, its strong engagement features will be a key differentiator for garages keen to punch above their weight and standout against the competition.
