Delphi is helping to inspire the next generation of automotive professionals by taking its industry expertise directly into the classroom, engaging with more than 100 students at Leicester College.
As part of its ongoing commitment to supporting the future of the sector, Delphi recently visited Leicester College to deliver insight sessions to two groups of Level 2 and Level 3 students studying automotive qualifications.
The sessions provided students with a detailed introduction to Delphi, offering an overview of the company, its products and the career opportunities available within both the business and wider automotive sector.
Alongside brand education, the Delphi team shared practical industry knowledge and discussed the evolving future of the industry, including the technological advancements and opportunities shaping the aftermarket of tomorrow.
By engaging with students early in their careers, Delphi is helping to bridge the gap between education and industry. This approach ensures that future technicians are better equipped with the knowledge, awareness and confidence needed to thrive in a rapidly evolving sector. At the same time, it highlights that careers in the automotive industry extend far beyond technical roles. Opportunities exist across Marketing, Sales, Finance and Human Resources—meaning that for anyone with a passion for automotive, the possibilities are truly limitless
Across the two sessions, Delphi reached more than 100 students, creating valuable opportunities to connect with emerging talent and foster greater awareness of the career pathways available within the aftermarket.
Kenny Kay, Technical Support Lead at Delphi, commented: “The future success of our industry depends on attracting, developing and supporting the next generation of technicians.
“Engaging directly with students allows us to share our experience, showcase the opportunities available within the sector and help them understand the exciting future that lies ahead for automotive technology. If even one student leaves the session with a stronger understanding of the industry or a greater awareness of the Delphi brand, then we’ve achieved something worthwhile.”
As vehicle technology continues to evolve through electrification, advanced diagnostics and increasingly complex systems, the demand for skilled technicians is at an all-time high. These continued initiatives demonstrate the company’s commitment to encouraging future talent and ensuring the aftermarket remains has the tools it needs to face the challenges and opportunities of tomorrow.
