The new tool is being launched in the UK in February 2025 and offers easy-to-use but comprehensive diagnostic capability. Now, these advanced features are available in a more affordable option with the new mega macs S 20, making it a great choice for workshops looking for a scalable and straightforward diagnostics solution.

Powering the new mega macs S 20 is Hella Gutmann’s smart diagnostic interface (SDI), previously only available on its flagship devices. It ensures maximum clarity and a quick, intuitive diagnostic process with support for DoIP and CAN-FD protocols.
“Technicians simply plug the mega macs S 20 dongle into the vehicle’s OBD port and connect to it via the Android tablet using Bluetooth or USB-C,” said Julian. “The simple-to-use software covers a workshop’s everyday needs, from basic to advanced capabilities.”
The software license includes functions like reading/clearing error codes, service resets, coding and adjusting settings. It also comes with regular software updates and new vehicle model support.
Advanced functions such as mileage queries, coding, parameter viewing, actuator tests, and cruciallyCSM also come with the standardlicense.While many providers offer secure gateway access as an add-on at an additional cost, Hella Gutmann includes CSM as standard, so mega macs S 20 users can immediately unlock cyber security gateways within a fraction of a second. With Nissan recently added, CSM now supports cyber security diagnostics for 21 vehicle manufacturers including Alfa Romeo, Audi, BMW, Fiat, Hyundai, Kia, Mercedes-Benz, Polestar, Renault, Volkswagenand more.
Users can also add HGS Data to their mega macs S 20 package.This low-cost upgrade provides access to comprehensive technical data including service schedules, interactive wiring diagrams and much, much more.
