Ezi Methods, the UK’s leading provider of official vehicle repair methods, has announced a new partnership with the award-winning FMG Repair Services’ technical training academy near Goole. The business will provide free access to its extensive library of more than 80,400 vehicle repair methods to support FMGRS’ apprentice and technician training.
The collaboration will give trainees and instructors at the facility direct access to Ezi Methods’ platform, supporting ongoing learning and application of manufacturer-approved repair procedures in real-world repair scenarios. By integrating professional repair data into the training environment, the partnership aims to strengthen technical skills and promote best practice across the industry.
Last year alone, more than 800 apprentices and technicians trained at the FMGRS technical training centre, which is led by Technical Training and Research Manager Chris McGowan. The facility has built a strong reputation for delivering hands-on learning experiences that mirror the challenges technicians face in modern repair workshops.
Through the partnership, Ezi Methods will support the centre’s mission to prepare technicians for an increasingly complex vehicle repair landscape, where access to accurate manufacturer repair methods is critical for safe and efficient repairs.
Chris, welcomed the collaboration, highlighting the importance of giving students exposure to the same professional tools used in the industry. He said: “Having access to Ezi Methods’ extensive library of manufacturer repair methods is a huge benefit for our apprentices and technicians.
“Training isn’t just about learning the theory, it’s about understanding how repairs should be carried out in the real world using the correct OEM procedures. Giving our students free access to over 80,000 repair methods means they can develop the habits and confidence they’ll need when they step into the workshop. Partnerships like this help ensure the next generation of technicians are better prepared for the increasingly complex vehicles they’ll be working on.”
Chris Dore, Group Operations Director for Ezi Methods, commented: “Supporting technician training is vitally important to us, having quick access to accurate manufacturer repair methods is essential for carrying out safe, high-quality repairs.
“By partnering with the FMG technical training facility and providing free access to our library repair, we’re helping apprentices and technicians learn the importance of following OEM procedures. We’re proud to support Chris and the whole FMGRS team in preparing the next generation of skilled repair professionals for the industry.”
By removing barriers to high-quality repair information, the partnership reflects a shared commitment from both organisations to support technician development and raise standards across the automotive repair sector.
