Cataclean to support workshops in tackling emissions this Clean Air Day

Leading additives brand, Cataclean, is encouraging workshops to take practical steps towards reducing vehicle emissions and improving air quality ahead of Clean Air Day.

Taking place on the 18th June, Clean Air Day highlights the importance of tackling air pollution and encourages individuals, businesses and communities to make positive changes that support a healthier environment. As UK roads remain dominated by millions of petrol and diesel vehicles, technicians can play a key role in helping to reduce emissions now.

With vehicles now staying on the roads for longer, Cataclean is supporting workshops and technicians looking for practical solutions that can be easily integrated into routine servicing to help tackle carbon build-up and promote engine efficiency.

Over time, harmful carbon deposits can build up in the fuel and exhaust system, not only reducing efficiency but also increasing emissions. Carbon build-up is often linked to common workshop issues including poor fuel economy, rough idling and blocked exhaust components, particularly on vehicles regularly used for short journeys and stop-start driving.

Cataclean’s flagship 8-in-1 fuel and exhaust system cleaner is designed to clean key components, including fuel injectors, catalytic converters, diesel particulate filters (DPFs) and EGR valves.

Maddie Bamber, Key Account Manager at Cataclean, commented: “Clean Air Day highlights the importance of taking practical steps to reduce emissions, and that’s exactly where products like Cataclean can help.

“By helping remove harmful carbon deposits throughout the fuel and exhaust system, Cataclean can reduce carbon emissions by up to 60 percent*, while also supporting improved vehicle performance and fuel efficiency.”

As a simple pour-and-go solution, Cataclean can be added quickly during routine servicing with minimal additional workshop time, helping technicians proactively support vehicle performance and emissions reduction, whilst also helping improve their bottom line as it creates a new revenue opportunity.

Workshops can also advise customers on best practice maintenance by using Cataclean every three months to help keep vehicles running efficiently and support long-term engine performance.
