SELECT Automotive has emphasised the importance of accurate part fitment, with PartsLink24 playing a central role in how the company verifies fitment and gives customers confidence when purchasing parts.
The company believes that answering questions, accurately on a part’s fitment is fundamental to delivering excellent customer service. For suppliers, getting fitment right can help reduce unnecessary returns. While for customers, it can minimise vehicle downtime and provide greater confidence in the purchased part.
While KBA numbers and K-Types provide a useful starting point when identifying vehicle applications, SELECT Automotive believes these identifiers cannot always provide the required guarantee. Specific vehicle options and variations are not necessarily covered, meaning additional research can be required to confirm compatibility.

“PartsLink24 is a fantastic resource, it gives us access to the manufacturer Electronic Parts Catalogue’s (EPC), allowing us to filter using the VIN data and research specific parts and applications in great detail.”
The system provides access to 56 manufacturer EPC’s through a subscription service. The system includes a VIN look up, assembly drawings, OE part numbers and pricing, while also allowing users to order parts directly from registered dealers.
SELECT Automotive uses the platform as part of its manual application research process, rather than relying solely on third-party vehicle and product data. This enables the team to develop a detailed understanding of individual products, including their year ranges, applications and functions, while helping to identify vehicle-specific variations that may not be apparent from standard vehicle identifiers.
