OESAA agrees to sponsor Automechanika Birmingham Garage Awards

The Original Equipment Suppliers Aftermarket Association (OESAA) is delighted to announce its membership of the Independent Automotive Aftermarket Federation (IAAF).

As part of its collaboration with the organisation, OESAA has proudly agreed to sponsor two categories of the Automechanika Birmingham Garage Awards, which the IAAF will host at the Hilton Metropole NEC on Wednesday 7 th June – the second day of the exhibition.

The awards will champion the industry’s leading garages and technicians; their professionalism and commitment to the sector epitomises what the industry needs when attracting the next level of professionals.

OESAA has pledged to support the Best Single-Site Garage and ‘Auto-Mechanik’ of the Year categories, with the latter recognising exceptional and individual contributions to high-performing garages. The accolade will be awarded to an individual that has gone above and beyond, to deliver outstanding customer service and bolster the reputation of its garage.

The IAAF’s commitment to garages and technicians is unrelenting, and it matches OESAA’s own ambition in providing professionals with the necessary support to ensure they’re equipped to tackle today’s car parc – one that is growing older but with vehicle technology also becoming more sophisticated.

Furthermore, with OESAA Academy Live, its members and industry partners are dedicated to forging a clear path for apprentices and students to forge both a successful and exciting career in the automotive trade.

OESAA Chairman, Nigel Morgan, who resumes his elected role on the IAAF council, said: “Both OESAA and the IAAF are united in their approach to provide the tools for the current and next crop of automotive professionals to flourish. As an organisation, we have been impressed by the IAAF’s growing influence and impact, both from a lobbying and business perspective, and we are thrilled to be affiliated with the group.”

IAAF CEO, Mark Field, added: “I’m really pleased that Nigel will continue his role on the IAAF council representing OESAA.

“His experience and insight are essential, as automotive aftermarket companies face several challenges, both in relation to changing legislation and the day-to-day running of their business. IAAF continues to evolve and attract new members throughout the supply chain, as we look to give a voice to the widest range of businesses and individuals operating in our sector.”
