RWC Training, a leading provider of automotive compliance and training solutions, today announced the official launch of Train to Gain, a groundbreaking Continuous Professional Development (CPD) programme designed to comply with BS 10125, and empower technicians with increased skills and up-to-date knowledge.
The innovative programme debuts today at Automechanika Birmingham.
Train to Gain addresses the evolving needs of the automotive industry by moving beyond traditional, often repetitive, reaccreditation processes. It offers a dynamic, engaging and comprehensive approach to professional development, ensuring technicians and businesses remain at the forefront of industry standards and emerging technologies.
“Our mission at RWC Training has always been to empower the automotive sector with unparalleled expertise,” says Matt Mardell, Business Development Director of RWC Training. “Train to Gain represents a significant leap forward in achieving that. We’ve listened intently to the industry’s demand for dynamic, relevant and practical
learning that goes beyond basic assessment for compliance. It’s about fostering genuine expertise, driving innovation and ensuring businesses are not just compliant, but truly future-ready in an ever-evolving landscape.”
A key pillar of Train to Gain’s credibility is its foundation in The Institute of the Motor Industry’s (IMI) industry-recognised framework. Its Continuous Professional Development (CPD) Subject Framework for the Body Sector BS10125 Compliance provides the robust structure upon which Train to Gain is built, answering the call to “stop assessing and train”, ensuring alignment with best practices and the BS 10125 audit procedure.
The programme offers unparalleled flexibility, enabling technicians to undertake training and assessment remotely, directly in the workshop, eliminating the need for costly travel, accommodation and significant downtime. Train to Gain is designed around core ‘C units’ that directly map to specific job roles, ensuring highly targeted and relevant learning. Content is refreshed regularly to reflect the latest industry
advancements, ensuring continuous relevance and engagement. Practical skills validation is streamlined through easy-to-submit video evidence, required only once every three years.
Early feedback from those preparing to implement the programme highlights its transformative potential: “A robust CPD programme such as this, provides our workforce with the flex to up-skill and re-skill, thus ensuring that we are continually innovating and using the latest techniques and technology (or at least have an awareness of them) whilst creating a forward thinking and dynamic company culture and ensuring compliance. It also sends a strong message to our team that we are investing in their future, it strengthens relationships and increases our efficiency, productivity and competitive advantage. It’s a win-win.”
RWC Training invites all Automechanika Birmingham attendees to visit their stand for a live demonstration and discussion about how Train to Gain can benefit their operations.
