WAI opens additional warehouse to increase stockholding capabilities

Leading rotating electrics supplier, WAI, has extended its UK warehouse to increase stock levels and help meet customer demand.

The warehouse extension follows a post-Brexit world where the need to hold more product closer to the customer is essential. WAI has added more stock space to its HQ in Bognor Regis to offer its UK customers more distribution.

Richard Welland, managing director at WAI UK, said: “Our existing European warehouse in the Netherlands remains a key part of our distribution but with the delays in logistics and additional costs faced by customers importing product, WAI has made the investment to stock wider and deeper product ranges in the UK.”

The extension, at WAI’s UK headquarters, gives the company an extra 10,000 sq ft of space offering additional racking for more stock space as the brand continues to prove popular among motor factors and workshops.

Despite the difficulties faced by the entire industry over the last couple of years, WAI has maintained its commitment to customers by increasing its range of engine management products with regular new-to-range references, as well as, adding a new range of electric vehicle (EV) charging cables and a portable power charger to its leading product portfolio to meet the needs of the ever-changing market.

Welland adds: “Our new warehouse can hold up to an extra 900 pallets of stock, meaning our availability is higher than ever before. This increased product availability, coupled with our continual investment in the WAI brand, means we’re now one of the largest automotive aftermarket rotating electrics suppliers throughout the UK and a market leader across Europe.”

WAI is renowned for quality parts that match or exceed the exacting standards set by the aftermarket. All references are of OE matching quality or better and tested to OE specifications.

A complete technical support service that delivers full guidance on fitting procedures and in-service issues is available as standard when ordering each part.

WAI will be exhibiting at Automechanika Frankfurt from 13th to 17th September, in Hall 3.0, stand E22, showcasing its impressive range of starter motors and alternators, window regulators, wiper motors, ignition products and engine management products – along with its latest products for the EV market.
