BookMyGarage has today published its first-ever industry report, drawing on its own platform data
alongside garage market insights to provide a data-led view of how UK motorists are booking MOTs,
servicing and repairs – and what this means for garages.
The BookMyGarage 2025 Aftermarket Insights Industry Report combines data from millions of real
booking interactions with surveys of garage owners and motorists, delivering a unique snapshot of
trends and changing consumer behaviour as well as workshop demand across the UK aftermarket.
Key findings from the report include:
-Record breaking 2025 delivering £134m worth of work to garage partners on the platform.
-Independent garages continue to dominate, receiving 92% of all bookings.
-Impact to garages on its successful Accelerate package delivering 8:1 revenue return.
-79% of garages on the platform said BookMyGarage bookings had a ‘significant’ impact on their business.
– Garage view on MOT pricing with 62% wanting to increase the cost.
– Motorists view on maintaining regular servicing and perceived impact to the value of their cars.
– Patterns in garage pricing for servicing & repairs.
– Out of hours bookings – 27% taking place outside traditional garage opening hours, underlining the growing importance of the garages ability to take online bookings.

– Time frames of MOT & service bookings – 35% made within a three-day window, highlighting sustained demand for short-notice availability.
