Cost of energy: IGA launches Workshop utilities Healthcheck

The IGA is launching a new service to help members assess and reduce their energy costs.

The Workshop Utilities Healthcheck is an audit carried out to survey energy output at a business and highlight areas where money could be saved. Areas covered within the audit include equipment, heating, water, lighting, insulation and employee awareness, and the service will be included for no additional cost as part of IGA membership.

Stuart James, IGA Chief Executive commented: “We are aware that businesses are finding it difficult to cover their energy bills today, let alone in the near future when prices will rise significantly. So, in a moment of need for the independent garage sector, we are proud to be proactively helping members to reduce their energy usage and save money in such difficult times.”

The audit will be available to IGA members soon.
