Factor Sales names new business development manager

Factor Sales, the automotive aftermarket measurement provider powered by Pearson Ham Group, is delighted to announce the appointment of Sebastian de Pedro as its new business development manager.

In his new role, Sebastian will lead business development, operations and engagement, working closely with motor factors to help them maximise the potential of the transactional data insights that drive performance, streamline operations and thrive in a competitive but evolving automotive aftermarket.

From a supplier perspective, they also stand to benefit from Factor Sales’ insights. The platform provides market awareness that helps them understand dynamics, competitor activity and emerging opportunities. With visibility down to part-number level, suppliers can identify popular or underperforming products, refine their strategies and sharpen competitiveness.

Therefore, it is expected that Sebastian will utilise his account management background in the fast-paced and demanding of private equity, transferring accrued experience and skills in juggling complex relationships and delivering value, to a new industry.

Early impressions tell Sebastian that “the market is full of opportunity” even if “there is a lot of consolidation happening”, and Factor Sales has a pivotal part to play in bolstering businesses with genuine data insights.

He said: “I am confident data can play a significant role for both the national distributors and independent factors. For buying groups, it means comparing performance across branches and spotting trends; for independents, it’s about streamlining operations and staying competitive. Either way, good data makes a real difference.

“For suppliers, we transform raw transactional data into practical intelligence that informs decision-making and can fuel growth.”

In the coming months, Sebastian’s priority is to engage directly with motor factors and suppliers, listen to their challenges and demonstrate the tangible benefits of Factor Sales’ platform.

Outside of work, Sebastian is an active sportsman, playing football and hockey, and enjoys time with family and friends, whether at the pub or out on countryside walks.
