GYS GYSCAP 12: 1 million starts

Imagine a vehicle booster pack that doesn’t need pre-charging – as the European leader in vehicle battery charging and starting technology, GYS is pleased to introduce the latest addition to its complete range of super capacitor boosters with
the GYSCAP 12V.

Completely maintenance-free and batteryless, it uses the latest advancements in supercapacitor technology to reliably deliver up to 1 million starts. It is always ready to go, with no need for pre-charging – just attach the clamps to a dead or
running vehicle’s battery and it will charge itself up and start the vehicle first time.

No more forgetting to charge your booster pack!

It delivers massive power to jump start various types of vehicles that are fitted with a 12 V lead-acid or lithium battery, all whilst protecting the battery and critical ECU data.

In addition, the GYSCAP is tough, being made from reinforced plastic, and its cables are also 1.7m long, giving you all the reach you need. Fully insulated curved brass clamps protect the user from heat and short-circuiting.

Super Tech

Supercapacitors have existed within vehicle booster packs for some time, however the GYSCAP marks the maturing of this technology when it comes to powerful jump starts.

The internal supercapacitors are capable of holding large amounts of charge and outputting them rapidly, with no risk of degradation once discharged like with traditional lead-acid or lithium batteries. There is also no need to pre-charge the
booster from the mains before use as it is able to draw power from the very vehicle that is being started, so even if the GYSCAP has been left in storage for years without use, it will work straight away, without fault.

Charging off the battery of a running vehicle takes only 2 and a half minutes, meaning there’s no need to wait around and you can get back on the move quickly.

To sum up the main advantages of the GYSCAP’s supercapacitor technology:
 Fast self-charging in minutes
 High power output for starting large vehicles
 Safe and stable with no risk of thermal runaway
 Long lifespan of 1 million starts, requiring no maintenance
 Works reliably in extreme hot or cold

Deep recovery

One of the features that sets the GYSCAP apart from other boosters is its SOS Mode, which is used when a vehicle’s battery is deeply discharged, holding fewer than 8 V of charge, and several cranking attempts in the standard mode have been
unsuccessful. This mode is designed to be a last-resort option for starting a vehicle when its battery is in critical condition.

There is also a Bypass Mode for when starting attempts in both standard and SOS modes have failed – it is possible that the vehicle’s onboard ECU is preventing a start due to the low voltage of its battery. Bypass Mode is able to circumvent this issue.
