A new dashboard being introduced by epyx this week is described by the company as the “next level” in minimising car and van off-road times.
The Downtime Management dashboard, part of the 1link Service Network Insights range of products, displays metrics in six key areas, using real-time data from the company’s 1link Service Network service, maintenance and repair (SMR) platform.
Scheduled Today shows a current plan of action for the fleet SMR team including automated messages timed to be sent to garages as vehicles exceed expected timelines; Overdue shows vehicles currently with garages expected to already be back in service; Awaiting Response shows queries to garages about vehicles and Overdue Response when these are late; Incidents Without Actions serves as a safety net to ensure all vehicles off road are being actively managed; and Current Hires shows the number of vehicles being rented for cover.
Other features of the dashboard include a service level rating for each garage, indicating how quickly it responds to fleet downtime queries based on historical data.
1link Service Network is used by operators totalling almost five million cars and vans to manage their SMR needs and the dashboard is being provided free of charge to fleets who already subscribe to the optional Downtime Management value-added service.
Tim Meadows, chief commercial officer, said: “Our Downtime Management value-added service has always been a popular product, providing fleets with a highly effective means of getting vehicles back on the road as soon as possible. It allows them to monitor their current situation and set up automatic progress requests to garages working on their vehicles, asking the reason for any delays.
“The new dashboard has been created in response to customer suggestions and is, we believe, the next level in downtime management. It provides managers looking after SMR with an at-a-glance picture of their overall situation, highlighting in a structured manner which vehicles and garages require action while creating a schedule of work.”
