Organised by the team behind the Professional Motor Mechanic brand, the long running show will bring together a wide range of aftermarket manufacturers and organisations on 8th-9th November.
The two-day event will showcase the latest developments from suppliers of workshop equipment, hand tool and diagnostics, as well as the full range of vehicle parts and components used by modern vehicle workshops.
Alongside providing visitors with hands-on demonstrations of the latest tools and technologies, the free-to-attend show is sharing valuable expertise through its CPD-accredited seminar programme.
This year, the programme will be hosted by well-known industry figures Hayley Pells and Tom Denton. The duo will be facilitating fascinating Q&A sessions between each talk, as well as capping off each day with an engaging round table discussion. The discussions will cover electrification and the future of mobility on the first day and the skills shortage on the second day.
Over 40 exhibitors will be attending this year’s event, including some of the biggest names in the industry. These include NGK, Varta, Continental, Rotronics, Kalimex, Liqui Moly, Lucas Oil and many more. The show will feature established brands as well as introducing newcomers to the aftermarket arena.
Visitors will be treated to a range of talks from industry experts from across the field. Participating organisations include the IGA, Autotech and the IMI. Policy experts Neil Pattemore, Hayley Pells and Tom Denton will each present a talk on the future direction of the industry. Visitors will also hear from Matt Cleevely and Tim Benson, both from award-winning workshops who will share their experiences of running a successful garage business.
Hosts Tom and Hayley commented on the upcoming show: “We really like Mechanex because it brings business owners and technicians exactly what they need in one place at a convenient venue. The free seminars are the icing on the cake because they cover topics that really matter to our day-to-day work.”
Neil Pattemore, UK AFCAR: “Mechanex provides a not-to-be-missed opportunity of being able to meet a range of key aftermarket suppliers, as well as attending industry leading seminars on a range of highly informative subjects that further optimise the value of time away from your business.”
Tim Benson, Oldfields Garage: “Gaining knowledge and understanding what is happening in the automotive marketplace is hugely important for everyone in the industry. Events like Mechanex give an opportunity to all garage owners and staff to get direct access to suppliers to see what’s new and happening from the people behind it all.”
What’s more, the seminar programme is CPD-accredited, meaning all visitors to the seminar stand simply need to scan a QR code to register their development points, an important aspect of running a professional workshop.
Organiser of the seminar programme, PMM Editor, Kieran Nee, was delighted to have secured so much expertise in one line-up: “Last year’s seminar stand at Mechanex was a huge success and was jam-packed with visitors, so I knew we had to pull out all the stops this time around in order to top it. I’m hugely grateful to Tom and Hayley and to everyone who agreed to participate, as well for making time in their schedules to join the round table discussions at the end of each day. I’m absolutely confident that this is going to be the best Mechanex yet!”
Entry to the show is free on both days and visitors are encouraged to pre-register their interest here. Parking at the venue is free and the nearest train station is Esher, a 13 minute walk from the venue.
The show runs from 10:00-16:00 8th-9th November, Sandown Park, KT10 9AJ.
