Reflecting the changing automotive landscape, two new categories have been added. The President’s Award 2023, sponsored by BMW/Alphera, will focus on Environmental, Sustainability and Green Innovation in Learning with the aim of shining a spotlight on the individuals demonstrating a forward-thinking commitment to the rapidly evolving automotive technologies.
Anew Equity, Diversity and Inclusion (EDI) award has also been launched. EDI: Championing Diversity in Automotive.
Other categories include:
• Full-Time Student of the Year
• Apprentice of the Year
• Contribution to the Work of the IMI
• Outstanding Contribution to the Motor Industry – sponsored by AutoTech
• Partner of the Year
Commenting on the launch of the IMI Awards 2023, IMI CEO Steve Nash said: “The automotive sector is facing huge challenges, but it is the commitment of continual professional development that we see every day that will make the difference to our success in the long-term. Itis, therefore, critical to ensure that our Awards reflect the changing and challenging landscape and the efforts of individuals to ensure that they are ready for the future.
“Our 2023 Awards will be announced at the IMI Dinner in London next March, which will be hosted by award-winning journalist and ITN newscaster, Nina Hossain. They are a way of celebrating the champions who continue to keep training and keep learning to keep the UK motoring.”
The nominations deadline for the IMI Awards 2023 is 5pm on Wednesday 30 November 2022.
