Think Car has unveiled a brand-new part-exchange promotion to kick off the new year, designed to help independent garages and workshops upgrade their diagnostic equipment as they head into 2026.
Now live, the promotion allows workshops to trade in any diagnostic tool priced at £800 or above to benefit from a valuable trade-in incentive, which also offers an extra year of software updates completely free of charge.
The offer applies across Think Car’s professional diagnostics range including the THINKCAR 391, THINKCAR Master X2, THINKCAR Euro Max, THINKCAR 393 and THINKCAR 399, and supports technicians looking to replace older equipment with the latest technology – without the cost barrier often associated with upgrading.
Customers purchasing a qualifying Think Car tool will receive a trade-in form with their new device. By returning an eligible diagnostic tool to Think Car, customers will receive an additional year of software updates at no extra cost, extending the value and lifespan of their investment.
To qualify, trade-in units must be a professional-grade diagnostic tool, available within the last eight years and meet Thinkcar’s trade-in terms and conditions such as in good working condition. Once the returned unit is received within 14 days of the new Think Car diagnostic tool being activated, and verified, the free software year will be applied.
The promotion launches as workshops face increasing demands from modern vehicle technology, secure gateways, EVs and advanced diagnostics.
Alex Gillbanks, Owner at Think Car UK, commented: “We know many technicians are still working with older diagnostic equipment that struggles with modern vehicles. This promotion is about making it easier for garages to upgrade their equipment, future-proof their businesses and start 2026 with the right tools for the job.”
Think Car’s part-exchange promotion is live now until 31st March 2026 or whilst stocks last. Workshops interested in upgrading or arranging a product demonstration can contact the Think Car team on 01732 247246.
