Cataclean backs Dan Rowbottom and Plato Racing for the 2026 BTCC season

Cataclean has confirmed its sponsorship of Daniel Rowbottom and the newly formed Plato Racing team for the 2026 Kwik Fit British Touring Car Championship (BTCC) season, marking an exciting new chapter built on belief, ambition and long-term partnership.

The collaboration represents the next step in Cataclean’s long-standing relationship with multiple race winner and Cataclean brand ambassador Daniel Rowbottom. From the very beginning, Cataclean recognised Rowbottom’s potential and backed him on that belief – the partnership has been founded on hard work, shared values, professionalism and integrity.

Growing together over several seasons both on and off the track, both the brand and Rowbottom has delivered success far beyond race results. It has also helped create meaningful commercial relationships across the sector.

For 2026, the partnership moves into something bold and new as Rowbottom spearheads Plato Racing in its debut BTCC campaign. Driving a Mercedes-AMG A35 Saloon designed and built by renowned engineering specialists RML, Rowbottom will also play a central role in helping to build the team from the ground up – a challenge Cataclean is pleased to support.

Plato Racing is fronted by two-time BTCC champion and racing legend Jason Plato, and its launch signals a fresh opportunity for Cataclean to continue its journey on the BTCC grid, following a fantastic three-year partnership with NAPA Racing UK, one of the strongest teams in the paddock.

Ross Baigent, Chairman at Cataclean, commented: “Our partnership with Dan has always been about more than sponsorship. We believed in him from day one, and together we’ve grown through hard work, shared values and a genuine long-term commitment. Supporting Dan as he steps into a new role with Plato Racing is such an exciting next chapter for Cataclean – and we’re really looking forward to racing against some of the very best teams in the championship this season.”

Rowbottom enters the 2026 season following his strongest campaign to date. Commenting on the new team and partnership, he said: “This is without doubt the biggest move of my career so far. To be a partner with Jason at Plato Racing is a pretty special feeling and something that 10-year-old me would have never believed could be possible! I’m confident that we’ve got something special with the Mercedes and I’m really excited to be stepping into the role of leading a team and driving it forward too.”

Jason Plato, Owner at Plato Racing, added: “We are all very excited to have Dan and Cataclean as a part of Plato Racing for 2026 and beyond. They are a fantastic company who understand how to leverage this investment in the BTCC; we’re all working hard to further expand their growth in the sector. I’m confident that Plato Racing, with Dan and Cataclean on board, will be a true force in the BTCC this coming season.”
