Following an official tender procedure conducted by the FIA, Goodyear has secured a new long-term extension of its partnership with the Federation and Automobile Club de l’Ouest (ACO), confirming its role as exclusive tire supplier for the FIA World Endurance Championship (WEC) LMGT3 category through at least 2032.
This renewal reinforces Goodyear’s position at the forefront of one of motorsport’s fastest-growing global championships and provides a platform to continue driving innovation, sustainability and performance in GT racing for years to come.
Following a successful first chapter that began in 2024, this agreement marks another important milestone in Goodyear’s endurance racing journey. It also reflects the strength of Goodyear’s overall proposition, as the tender process assessed candidates against a range of criteria, including technical expertise, product quality, sporting performance in different conditions, operational and customer service capabilities, sustainability commitments, marketing support and long-term contribution to the continued growth of endurance racing.
Over the past three seasons, Goodyear has worked closely with the FIA, ACO and teams to contribute to the growth and competitiveness of the LMGT3 category, helping establish it as one of the most exciting and challenging classes in global GT racing.
Since entering the championship, Goodyear has consistently pushed the boundaries of tire technology, most recently through the introduction of its Eagle Medium and Eagle Slick ranges, featuring 66% sustainable-material content from the 2027 season. The long-term nature of the partnership provides a strong foundation for further innovation, allowing Goodyear to continue investing in research and development while working closely with teams to deliver ever-higher levels of performance, consistency and sustainability.
“When we started this journey with the FIA and ACO in 2024, we were convinced that LMGT3 represented a platform with tremendous potential for growth, helped by tremendous fan support for the racing versions of sports cars they see on the streets,” said Xavier Fraipont, Vice President, Goodyear Racing.
“Goodyear is committed to growing with the ACO and FIA and strengthening our position as the benchmark in GT racing, and on the street versions of these cars. This agreement allows us to continue bringing Goodyear’s technical expertise to one of the world’s most competitive racing environments while pushing the limits of performance and innovation. Together with the FIA, ACO, we will write the next chapter of this successful partnership, on and off the track.”
