Introducing the next generation of braking solutions from Brembo

Italian based Brembo were once again a prominent exhibitor at this years Automechanika Birmingham show at the NEC where a full presentation of the company’s innovative braking solutions was on display.

AutoScene sat down with Jean Claude Dal Grande – Vice President Aftermarket GBU EMEA Sales Division to learn about Brembo’s latest product developments and the company’s future plans.

Jean Claude was keen to point out that as in previous visits to Automechanika shows, Brembo always look towards visually showcasing their original high-performance parts-selection which is considered a complete range to suit every driving need. He adds, “Brembo is continually developing futuristic, leading-edge, innovative solutions as part of our product strategy of
constantly anticipating our customers’ preferences.”

“Our entire range of braking solutions at the show has been carefully segmented into five different areas, with each one featuring our highest quality, innovative developments.”

Brembo Essential is a product line for companies looking for an initial and basic approach to replacement Aftermarket components which includes brake drums, shoes, hydraulic components and reproduced calipers.

Whilst Brembo Prime represents a premium line which is specifically tailor-made for cars, LCV, trucks and motorbikes and incorporates high technical and quality standards in brake discs, brake pads, calipers, brake fluid and other brake accessories.

Brembo Beyond addresses the growing needs of the new mobility era, particularly solutions for electric vehicles and new, low emission requirements. “Here we’re talking about our EV Kit (no rust and no noise) and Greenance Kit, our Euro 7 complaint solution that significantly reduces PM10 and PM2.5 emissions by 80 per cent,” confirms Jean Claude.

Brembo Xtra is primarily aimed at passionate drivers and car enthusiasts looking for ‘plug & play’ customised elements for their vehicles and is considered a leading line in the aftermarket segment. It includes drilled and slotted brake discs, high friction pads, coloured aluminium calipers and advanced brake fluid.

Finally, Jean Claude emphasised that Brembo Upgrade offers superior performance, style and passion from the ‘track to the street’. He says,

“Brembo has achieved outstanding results on some of the leading racetracks in the world – and this has directly evolved to our current, upgraded braking system for drivers of all vehicles”.

Part of that is the Brembo Gran Turismo (GT) system incorporating calipers, pads, discs, brackets, hoses and hardware that deliver excellent day-to-day braking power and driving confidence.

All of these Brembo products were represented on the stand plus the Brembo Carbon Ceramic Material (CCM) brake discs which are now available for the Aftermarket and are now available on the brand new Bremboparts App.

Jean Claude concludes, “We have been pleased to meet many of our UK and international customers during the show, to share with them our ambitious and innovative objectives for the future.”
