Boost EV confidence with Matt Cleevely training course

Garage owners and technicians are being urged to secure a spot on Cleevely EV’s next ‘At Ease With EV’ training course. It promises hands-on high voltage education aimed at boosting the confidence and skills of technicians with IMI Level 2, 3, or 4 qualifications.

The unique EV training course takes place at the Cleevely EV training facility in Cheltenham on Saturday July 20th. Presented by pioneer in the servicing and repairs of EVs, Matt Cleevely and highly acclaimed technical trainer, Alistair Finch, delegates will delve into practical workshop sessions using a 2018 Nissan Leaf and a Tesla Y Performance.

“It’s a really informative course,” said Mick Shaikly of Shaikly Motor Company in Colchester, having attended earlier this year. “It opens your eyes into how Matt’s doing it, how you can take-on this work and that you don’t need to be scared of it.”

The course covers essential topics including interlocks, charging faults, high voltage battery testing and repairs, EV servicing, common EV faults, and a comprehensive Tesla service mode ‘deep-dive’ demonstration.

“It’s a great opportunity to learn from the best,” said Sean Savage of Springwell Motors in West Yorkshire. “The tasks we were given replicate what you’d get in your own workshop. It gave us the self-assurance that we can work on EVs and that they’re not something we should be shying away from. I’d highly recommend it to anyone looking to embrace EV.”

Lunch and refreshments will be provided, along with a certificate of attendance which counts towards CPD.

“There are more than a million EVs on UK roads now,” said Matt Cleevely, Founder and CEO of Cleevely Group. “The irony is that even main dealers still aren’t skilled and equipped to work on EVs in any kind of volume. That’s why independent garages have a genuine opportunity to come out on top, capture and retain a new customer base. For anyone lacking confidence in how to tap into this emerging market, get yourself booked-in on this course.”

Tickets are available on a first-come, first-served basis for just £295 + VAT per delegate.
