MOT Expert, based in Northampton, is celebrating substantial expansion since its buy-out last year, and has now joined forces with MOT Compliance Group to become the industry’s only dedicated in-person training and compliance centre.
The integration pulls together MOT Expert and VTS Pro – a DVSA-integrated management system and advisory service which started as a separate company in April 2020 – and means bespoke courses and training programmes, tailored consultancy services, and the UK’s first fully-integrated DVSA software solution have been brought together under one roof.
Ross Laurence, COO, said: “We’ve had whirlwind growth since I took ownership of MOT Expert in 2021, doubling our workforce and client base, and launching even more high-quality training programmes for dealerships and MOT centres all over the country.
“VTS Pro was started during lockdown by my trusted business partners, Haider Khan and Kyle Stansfield, and has been booming ever since, with a team of experienced MOT testers and former DVSA inspectors supporting garages with their legalities, processes and quality control.
“There is no other provider with this level of experience offering a one-stop shop for on-site training, consultancy and software solutions in this way. Merging the two businesses allows us to strengthen our reputation and full-service offer, and work towards even more ambitious growth plans.”
Over 1,000 candidates, including staff from major garage brands UK-wide, will continue to gain their testing and management qualifications through the new MOT Compliance Group, with added benefits of the VTS Pro software and consultancy service.
