The date and location for the next Schaeffler REPXPERT Academy Live event has been announced and registration has opened. “So, don’t miss out on this opportunity to learn and network with like-minded automotive professionals,” stresses Schaeffler Key Accounts Manager, Andy Walters.
Following its proven successful format, the doors of York College will open at 9am, when visitors will check-in and receive their Academy Live goody bags, along with breakfast, before a brief introduction to welcome everybody to the venue and explain how the day will unfold.
Training starts at 10am and highlights include Schaeffler’s ever popular introduction to LuK double clutch systems, an overview and best practice advice for VAG diesel belt systems from industry legend REPXPERT Andy Vaux, and there will also be a display of FAG steering & suspension components situated alongside one of the iconic REPXPERT training vans.
Although a REPXPERT event, because of the importance that Schaeffler puts on assisting technicians to keep up-to-date with new vehicle technology and understand how to complete full and first-rate repairs and servicing, other original equipment (OE) suppliers and industry professionals will be there to add even more value to attendees.
Alongside the Schaeffler team, REPXPERT ambassador Andy ‘The Garage Inspector’ Savva will be presenting an introduction to Effective Communication Skills, whilst Bilstein will hold a mini suspension masterclass. The workshop will be full of interesting guests including Motul, TechMan, Laser Tools and The IMI, who will all be available to engage with from 9am, during breaks and lunch, and also after the training sessions have finished.
“To ensure we effectively get the message out to technicians in Yorkshire, my colleague Johnny Harris and myself will be visiting workshops in the surrounding area in the lead up to the event, to make sure they are aware of this fabulous opportunity,” Walters continues. “This is an event that allows them to not only take away great technical knowledge, it’s also a chance for them to network and engage with other forward-thinking workshops that also have their eyes on the future. So, it’s a valuable opportunity they simply shouldn’t miss!”
