“Visit Academy Live, York!” says Andy Savva

The sessions will be packed full of valuable tips, tricks, and best practice advice and IMI members can claim CPD points for a full day of training.

“Schaeffler’s REPXPERT Academy Live is back on the road this time it will be held at York College on Saturday 12th November, and I will be attending sharing my thoughts on Effective Communication Skills and how vital it is for garages, or in fact any service business, to get this right,” explains The Garage Inspector, Andy Savva.

“I believe, like many of my friends – particularly Tier One suppliers, that all garages can have a successful profitable business, but they need a continual investment strategy in both technical training and front of house training across all team members – not just technicians.

“I strongly encourage garage owners and their staff to attend events like Academy Live. These events are free, yes – free, and you will certainly leave with more knowledge than you came with. There will be other fantastic presenters and guests there who will be showcasing their services and products.

“The Academy Live events are like “taster” events, they give you an idea what’s on offer if you take up the more comprehensive training held across the country not only by Schaeffler and myself, but other guests too. Even though they are ‘taster’ sessions, they are packed full of valuable tips, tricks, and best practice advice, so if you or any other members of your team are IMI members, they can still claim CPD points for a full day of training.

“All the sessions last approximately 45mins to one hour, and you will also get the opportunity to meet with like-minded garage owners and their staff members. As I mentioned earlier, it is free to attend – including breakfast, lunch and refreshments throughout the day, and you will also receive a REPXPERT goody bag.

“I am pleased that my REPXPERT friends from Schaeffler will be leading the way, with presentations on double clutch systems and VAG Diesel timing issues. I look forward to seeing new and old garage folk for a great day of knowledge and networking.”
