Delphi has reflected on a highly successful UK Garage & Bodyshop Event, returning from the industry exhibition with the coveted ‘Best Stand Award’ following two days of engaging interactions, games and insightful talks – Delphi really did make some noise!
Show visitors flocked to the Delphi stand to learn more about the company’s latest product developments, training initiatives and technical support services.
A major attraction throughout the show was Delphi’s popular Spin the Wheel competition, which drew a steady stream of visitors to the stand, while the Delphi Tech Van provided attendees with the opportunity to speak directly with technical experts and gain valuable insight into diagnostics, repair procedures and emerging vehicle technologies.
Aliya Lam, UK Country Director at PHINIA Delphi UK, also took centre stage during the event, participating in two engaging sessions. The first saw Lam join the IAAF Garage Den discussion, sharing updates on the project working with Shaikly Motor Company. She also delivered an insightful presentation on ‘The business case for quality’, highlighting how choosing quality, the right supplier and investing in training and upskilling staff can help workshops save both time and money in the long run.
Lam commented: “The UK Garage & Bodyshop Event continues to be one of the key dates in our events calendar, so to come away with the Best Stand Award is a fantastic achievement for the whole team.
“What was particularly encouraging was the level of engagement we had with visitors. Workshops are increasingly looking beyond price alone and focusing on quality, training and technical support. Those conversations align perfectly with Delphi’s mission to help customers improve efficiency, profitability and confidence in the workshop.”
Another key highlight was a visit to the Delphi stand from the Mini Boys, a father and son duo behind a popular Mini project build which has captured lots of attention on social media. During their visit to the Delphi stand, the extensive Delphi range of product was highlighted when they selected a range of Delphi Braking, Engine Management and Steering parts to support their viral Mini build project, where son Ben, is building his own Mini City 1981 with the help of dad Gary in the hopes of it being finished by his 16th birthday so he can go to prom in it.
The event also provided Delphi with an opportunity to showcase its recently launched ‘Make Some Noise. Delphi – Built for Silence’ campaign. Designed to raise awareness around braking quality, safety and performance, the campaign generated significant interest among visitors keen to learn more about the six pillars of the campaign and Delphi’s approach to premium braking solutions, technical training and workshop support.
Lam added: “Events like UK Garage & Bodyshop are invaluable because they allow us to have face-to-face conversations with the people we support every day – which you just cannot beat!”
“Receiving the ‘Best Stand Award’ is a reflection of the passion and hard work of the entire Delphi team, and we’d like to thank everyone who visited us during the show. We’re already looking forward to the next event.”
