WAI Europe, continues to make significant strides under one umbrella, WAI UK and Europe, being led by President of WAI Europe, Richard Welland.

Key initiatives and strategic developments made by Welland have been instrumental in fostering growth, a recruitment drive and supporting its customers across Europe.

WAI’s commitment to being ‘First to Market’ ensures that its customers receive the latest products with unmatched quality and availability at competitive prices. With over 3,000 SKUs, WAI is dedicated to providing a comprehensive range of products, from passenger cars to trucks, buses, and power sports.

Welland comments: “We are heavily investing in all areas of the business from product management to the recruitment of new people to ensure we have the best possible offering for customers. Our focus is on expansion across our facilities in Poland, the Netherlands, and the UK, alongside developing our team to enhance customer service and support.”

Since taking over as President of WAI Europe, a pivotal move was the merger of the UK and Netherlands operations into a single entity, WAI Europe. This restructuring includes the relocation of the European warehouse to a state-of-the-art facility near Rotterdam, significantly increasing efficiency and stockholding capabilities.

“We have restructured the business from top to bottom, forming a new management team and implementing a new Warehouse Management System (WMS) in the UK and the Netherlands. Our major focus is on sales growth across various regions in Europe, creating new roles to support this expansion,” continues Welland.

WAI Europe leverages its global supplier status to source products from diverse regions, including China, India, and Australasia. This global reach, coupled with in-house manufacturing capabilities in electronics for starters and alternators, provides WAI with a competitive edge.

“WAI Europe operates as one unified entity, providing superior service through a global footprint and local expertise. Our collaborative approach with the US-based leadership team ensures we meet customer needs effectively,” says Welland.

WAI’s customer-centric approach and global reach position it as a leader in the automotive aftermarket industry. “We are grateful for the continued support from our customers and look forward to driving the next phase of growth and development,” he concludes.
