Delphi named Diagnostic Equipment Manufacturer of the Year

Delphi has been crowned Diagnostic Equipment Manufacturer of the Year at the prestigious Auto Trade Awards 2025.

The accolade was unveiled on Saturday, 12 October, during a vibrant ceremony at the Auto Trade EXPO held at the RDS Simmonscourt in Dublin, where industry leaders gathered to honour the best and brightest in the Irish automotive aftermarket.

Winning Diagnostic Equipment Manufacturer of the Year underscores Delphi’s commitment to delivering cutting-edge diagnostic solutions that meet the evolving needs of workshops.

“We are honoured to receive this award, which reflects the trust and confidence that garages and workshops across Ireland have in our diagnostic equipment,” said Luke Garratt, UK Technical Services Manager at Delphi. “This recognition is a testament to our team’s dedication to innovation and to providing the tools and technology that help workshops stay ahead of the challenges they face.”

Delphi’s BlueTech vehicle communication interface (VCI) is a standout example of the brand’s dedication to equipping workshops for the future. The cutting-edge device delivers rapid scan speeds and supports multiple CAN channels, diagnostics over internet protocol (DoIP) as well as CAN FD protocol.

Another standout feature is Delphi’s security gateway solution. It seamlessly gives technicians unrestricted access to perform essential diagnostic tasks. Designed to safeguard connected vehicles from being compromised through hacking, security gateways limit access to certain diagnostic functions.

“Manually accessing these security gateways can be a huge drain on time for busy workshops,” said Luke. “Technicians must obtain a vehicle manufacturer authorisation token for every task, which means managing multiple portal accounts, dealing with credit purchases, and navigating the invoicing process. Delphi eliminates that hassle by streamlining everything. You just register once, and we handle the rest.”

Delphi’s award recognition follows an extensive judging process that began with nominations submitted by aftermarket professionals earlier this year. The top six nominees in each category were selected based on votes from industry peers, with a final round of voting concluding on 28 September. The winners were revealed in front of industry leaders and professionals gathered at the Auto Trade EXPO in Dublin.

The Auto Trade Awards, which were first introduced in 2014, are a highly regarded celebration of excellence. This year’s awards marked a return after a four-year break due to the pandemic and included several new categories to better represent the full spectrum of the industry.
