Cotswolds repairer makes Fix Auto UK his first choice

Cotswolds repairer makes Fix Auto UK his first choice.

Twenty-four hours after signing his contract and agreeing to join Fix Auto UK, Kevin Dunlop immediatelydeclared his ambitions by commencing a programme of investment that doubles the size of his existingrepair centre.

The owner of First Choice Bodyshop based in the Cotswolds has taken over an adjoining 5,000 sq ft unit
which will be operated under the banner of Fix Auto Tewkesbury. Work transforming the new unit into an
extension of the existing site including a new reception area and offices started immediately.

For the network, the appointment is perfectly positioned between existing sites, Fix Auto Cheltenham and Fix Auto Pershore, and firmly strengthens its position in the Midlands by taking the number of fully
branded Fix Auto UK repair centres in the region to 18.

“I am hugely ambitious,” said Kevin, “and, if truth be told, I’ve realised I’ve taken my business possibly as
far as I can without any support or guidance. I am convinced Fix Auto UK will provide me with all the help,
management support and leadership I need to fulfil those ambitions.”

He added: “I’m extremely proud of what’s been achieved in little under eight years. I started out with a
spray gun and a small unit and a couple of jobs to get me going and here I am, following two moves, I’ve a firmly established, BSI approved business with eight people on board. Every year I’ve re-invested in the
business as best I can with equipment and the most efficient spraybooth possible. But I want far, far more which is why I’ve joined Fix Auto UK.

“I know Kieran Humphries of Fix Auto Cheltenham well and have admired the rapid development of his
business since he joined the network in 2018. He pays tribute to Fix Auto UK, support it provides and the
support he receives from other franchisees as key elements behind the success of his business.”

Kevin concluded: “It was ironic that the day in which I signed my contract my landlord mentioned the unit
next door was vacant and available, so I seized my opportunity. The new unit will totally transform our

business. Having that extra space and the ability to develop a seamless workflow will enable me to reach
our goal of doubling our repair capacity, which is currently at around 50 vehicles per month.”

Ian Pugh, Managing Director of Fix Auto UK, said: “Ambition, drive and commitment. They’re three of the
key elements we look for when recruiting a new Franchise Partner and Kevin has those in abundance.
While we never stipulate the size and capacity a site should be, he’s taken it upon himself to take on
another unit and double his working footprint which shows his immediate aspirations are aligned with our
own.”
